A viral post currently circulating on WhatsApp, Facebook, and other platforms claims that multinational food and beverage company NESTLÉ is recruiting 50,000 Nigerian youths for its Learnership Applications Training Programme 2025.

The message promises participants a monthly stipend of ₦300,000 – ₦600,000, along with free transport allowance, accommodation, and meals. It instructs applicants to apply through a suspicious link: https://nestle-learnerships.apply-now.cloud

Verification

  • No announcement by Nestlé Nigeria or Nestlé Global: A check on Nestlé’s official website and verified social media pages shows no such recruitment or learnership programme. Nestlé typically announces genuine opportunities via its official career portal (www.nestle.com/jobs) or through trusted recruitment partners.

  • Suspicious link: The link provided in the viral message (apply-now.cloud) is not an official Nestlé domain. Official company websites end with nestle.com or nestle-cwa.com for Central and West Africa.

  • Unrealistic promises: The claim of paying ₦300,000 – ₦600,000 monthly stipends to 50,000 youths (totaling billions of naira monthly) is unrealistic and unsustainable. Such exaggerated figures are a common red flag in scam job adverts.

  • Phishing scam pattern: Similar fraudulent schemes have circulated in the past, using the names of big corporations (like Dangote, Coca-Cola, or MTN) to lure unsuspecting job seekers into clicking malicious links and submitting their personal information.

The Facts

  • Nestlé is not recruiting 50,000 youths under any Learnership Applications Training Programme 2025.

  • The viral message and its application link are part of a phishing scam designed to trick Nigerians into sharing personal information or engaging with fraudsters.

  • Genuine Nestlé career opportunities are free to apply and are only advertised on official channels.

Verdict: ❌ Fake News

The so-called Nestlé Learnership Applications Training Programme 2025 offering ₦300,000 – ₦600,000 stipends is false and misleading. Nigerians are advised to disregard the message, avoid clicking the fraudulent link, and rely only on Nestlé’s official platforms for verified job openings.
